Stroud Homes is a multi-award winning Australian builder with a strong HIA award history — including national HIA Australian Project Home of the Year wins — and a reputation for design innovation, distinctive façades and strong customer service through their locally-owned franchise model. Each Stroud franchise is operated by owners who live and build in their community, bringing genuine local knowledge and accountability to every project.
If you're building with Stroud Homes, an independent QBCC-licensed inspection is the calmest way to confirm your finished home matches the design and contract you signed.
Why Independent Inspection Matters on Any New Home
The Queensland construction industry is operating under sustained, well-documented pressures — extended material lead times, a tight skilled-labour pool, and subcontractor crews scheduled across many concurrent sites. These conditions affect every builder in the market — national, franchise or local. Independent inspection isn't about any one builder — it's about giving every homeowner a calm, structured second look against the QBCC Standards and Tolerances and their contract before settlement.
Wet Areas
Wet areas are the highest-value focus on any new home PCI. We measure shower membrane heights against the 1800mm minimum, check coved floor-to-wall junctions, and verify sealant continuity at floor and bath wastes. Getting these right before tiling is far cheaper than after.
Frame Stage
For frame inspections, we work through the engineer's bracing schedule, tiedown placement at foundation-to-frame connections and roof truss lateral bracing. SEQ's wind region designations make this stage genuinely worthwhile — anything picked up before plasterboard goes on is the easiest possible rectification.

Book an InspectionFinishing and Contract Items
Paint, tiling, joinery, driveway control joints and site drainage falls are checked against the QBCC tolerance thresholds. We also walk through your full contract schedule — landscaping, fencing, finishes and selected items — so anything outstanding is documented before you sign the handover certificate.
